A Thousand Thanks

When I broke the news to my mum,

her expression told it all.

I could not look at her in the eyes.

Although I know she is sad with me, I hope I will redeem myself.

Many things happened to me these past few days.

And I’m silently pleased that my friends were there for me.

You know who you guys are.

I was angry at myself these past few days.

But then Subhas said something to me, “Don’t do something in your life just to please someone”

and there was truth in that statement.

So I’m sorry mum, and to my lecturer whom I had disappoint.

Well, I cherish the experience I gained and am moving on in life.
