50-Word Stories

Thank you for the enthusiastic response for the Openers Competition. I received over a thousand replies from netizens all over the world. I have already select the top 3 and will be posting their stories soon.

So this week, there is a new competition. I will be giving 5 examples of a 50-word story. Please send in your own story and the top 3 will received a prize!

1) Jack lies himself against the wall. His wound continues to bleed profusely. Alena runs towards him, tears flowing down her eyes. “Why? Why did you do that?” she screamed at him. Mustering his last strength, Jack looks deep in her eyes and whispers in her ears, “Because I love you”

2) John and Sarah are getting rather tipsy after finishing two bottles of wine. They look at each other hungrily. Sarah smiles seductively at him. John edges in towards her. He puts his arm around her as she takes a peek inside his pants. “Not even worth talking about” she sighs.

3) The Samurai looks at his opponent. His hand slowly reaches for the tilt of his sword. He mentally plans his moves, seeing the entire fight in his mind. His opponents rush towards him in a second. Swords dance around as the sound of metal against another metal fills the night.

4) Erin waits patiently for the lift to arrive. She is tired after a long day in the office. The lift finally arrives. Erin steps in and presses the 13th level. She feels her hair rising and someone is watching her. She is too frightened to turn. Suddenly, the lift stops.

5) Herman looks at the old photograph with full of memories. It has been a long time since he last saw his family. Before he realizes it, tears began to trickle down his eyes. His father’s words still burns in his heart till today, “You are no longer my son anymore”.
